5- The Eagle’s Nest will start Opening at 10:00am on Monday Sept. 16th to serve Breakfast Sandwiches 7 days a week! We will also offer Brunch Specials and Mimosas on Sundays!

Summer is officially in full swing here at Bloody Point! We are very excited about all of the events we having coming up! 4th of July is quickly approaching! We have attached the flyer detailing the events of the 3rd and 4th!

We are looking for 3 judges for our 2nd Annual Cart Parade! Anyone who is interested can call or email the Membership Office. Prizes will be given out for the winners of the following categories: Most Patriotic, Most Daufuskie, and Most Original. Each of the winners will receive a $50 gift card!

We are also very excited to announce that we will launching a new summer menu in the very near future! This new menu will feature light summer fare including local seafood and produce for both lunch and dinner.

Due to the enormous popularity of Chef Mike’s new pizza, we are booked tonight and only have a few remaining reservations after 8:30pm. We are very happy to accept walk-ins, but we are able to give better service and can guarantee your preferred seating time if you have made a reservation.

We will be serving a limited menu with select Chef Specials for the next couple of weeks, as we transition into our NEW Spring Menu! WELCOME:
As we move forward into Spring, please join us in welcoming Chef Michael DeMarco to our team here at Bloody Point. We are so happy to have Mike here. Exciting new changes are afoot as we transition into our new Spring Menu, expected to be complete in two weeks. Until that time we will offer a limited menu along with some of Chef Mike’s delicious signature dishes. For example, for dinner last night, we loved his grilled salmon served on a potato cake and sauteed spinach, topped with a balsamic corn salsa. Another delight we enjoyed was his grilled scallops with cheese grits. These are just a couple of the new items we will be testing over the next couple of weeks. Our goal is to incorporate more fresh seafood and regional items on our menu. Below we’ve included a sneak peek into Chef Mike’s background.

Chef Michael DeMarco is a culinary graduate from Johnson and Wales University with over 17 years of experience in the culinary field. He has worked in many different areas of the country and is diverse in his culinary talents. He specializes in American regional food from the knowledge he acquired while working in places like Atlanta, New England, and Block Island. Mike loves to use a simple philosophy with his food as well as his everyday life. He believes food should be an extension of the person preparing it. His food is simple, yet elegant and delicious, putting the focus on local flare and fresh ingredients. Above all else, he puts his passion and his love into everything he makes.

With the addition of Chef Mike, we feel that we have a strong team here at Bloody Point and are very positive about going into a busy season! We want to remind you about our Grand Opening over Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26, and will keep you posted on other news from Bloody Point.

Join us this Sunday, February 3rd, for a Superbowl Sunday Funday!

We will be offering a $12 All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, beginning at 5pm. The buffet menu includes a Taco Bar (hard and soft tacos), chips, salsa, and guacamole, wings, meatballs, and fried chicken sliders. We will also have $12 Bottomless Mimosas and $2.50 PBR Tall Boys All Day, as well as $12 Buckets of Domestic Beer (including Budweiser, Bud Light, Yuengling, Coors Light, and Miller Light) during the game. The Osprey Cottage is Coming Soon! The Osprey Cottage is rapidly progressing. We plan to open in the spring of 2013 for cottage rentals. We will offer 7 spacious boutique hotel rooms ranging from 450-500 square feet along with a large common room. More information to follow.

Important update about our Culinary Team!

Please give a warm welcome to our new Executive Chef, George Davis, and our new Food and Beverage Manager, Joe Smith.

Chef George Davis has an extensive culinary background of highest caliber. George graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and then attended University di Perugia, Italy and the Italian Culinary Federation. He has held Executive Chef positions with 4-Diamond restaurants such as Ballastone Inn, Cha-Bella’s, the Lowrey Group, and Bear Creek Country Club. He is a Certified Safe Serve Instructor and TIPS trainer and is currently working on the requirements for his Executive Chef certification. He has a keen sense for guest dining expectations and a flair for creative presentations. He has won the 2009 Iron Chef competition on HHI and is dedicated to providing culinary excellence.

Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Joe Smith has always been interested in hospitality. Having spent the last few years traveling the United States and the rest of the world making wine, he has been trained as a sommelier, and has been working toward becoming an expert in wine. His vision for The Eagle’s Nest is to build up a fantastic beverage program to compliment the new menu, and to create an extremely hospitable, warm environment that meets the high standards we have set for the restaurant.
Jay Dressler, Chef de Cuisine for The Eagle’s Nest, remains an important part of our culinary team.
