It’s easy to get outside and explore on Daufuskie Island. Whatever you’re looking for, there’s no shortage of activities to keep you occupied. Daufuskie Island is accessible only by boat or passenger ferry from Hilton Head Island and Bluffton.
The Bloody Point Lighthouse, located at the southern tip of Daufuskie Island, has a story rich in history and duty. It all began in 1882 when the U.S. Government paid $425 for land for the light. This included a front-range lighthouse and a rear range light tower. After recent new ownership and significant renovations, The Bloody Point Lighthouse Museum is now open to the public for daily tours.
