Shrimp Hushpuppies with Horseradish Sauce Recipe
Horseradish Sauce:
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup horseradish
- 1/2 cup diced roasted red peppers
- salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients.
Shrimp Hushpuppies
- 2 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup corn kernels
- 1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 cup diced tomato
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup milk
- 1 Tbsp. blackening spice
- 2 cups cooked, chopped shrimp
- salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl. Deep fry in small batches of 375 degree oil for 3-5 minutes.
