Old Daufuskie Crab Company
Come to the lively Old Daufuskie Crab Company, where you can savor the famous Daufuskie deviled crab. Created by the talented chef Ernestine Smith, this spicy and crispy dish originated as a source of income for the Gullah people after the decline of the local oyster industry.
Not only can you enjoy the delicious Daufuskie deviled crabs, but also other mouthwatering options like the fried flounder sandwich, crab stew, and shrimp dishes. With a cold beverage in hand, you can choose to dine indoors or outdoors while enjoying the stunning view of Freeport Marina.
This restaurant is a must-visit and is open almost every day, serving as the go-to spot for food on the Island. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to indulge in the flavors of Daufuskie Island at Old Daufuskie Crab Company.

TESTIMONIALS:
Great coffee, coolers and lemonades! I always have the hardest time choosing. The cucumber, lime and mint cooler and raspberry cold brew are so good! The blueberry scones are great also. The owners are so nice. It is my favorite place on the island! – Donna B
Great coffee. Great service. Neat place. – Joshua B
Bryan, the owner was so great! My husband got coffee here as one of of our stops touring the island. We later had a golf cart that battery died from rental and luckily near the store.. He made some calls and got someone one the way as golf cart company never answered calls. He went above and beyond. The covered patio and lounge area was fab. A must stop. Not just coffee but pastries and a variety of drinks as well. – Tonya T
