The New Ferry Service to Daufuskie

In January of this year, Beaufort County announced a freshly inked deal with Lowcountry Ferry that locks in ongoing ferry transportation to Daufuskie Island.

Embarking from the interim launch point at CC Haigh, Jr., this arrangement hopes to be accessible and bolster the community of its residents.

With this contract in place, Beaufort County states it is committed to working closely with Lowcountry Ferry to continually improve the ferry service, taking into consideration feedback and suggestions from community members. This partnership will also enable the county to explore the potential expansion of ferry routes and services in the future.

Wednesday, January 10, Beaufort County’s website posted the following to announce the new service:

“Reservations Now Available on the Official Public Ferry to Daufuskie Island.

Beaufort County is excited to share the latest developments regarding the Lowcountry Ferry Service to Daufuskie Island. As of today, residents and visitors can access the online reservation system at locoferry.com.

The ferry schedule remains consistent daily, ensuring reliable transportation options. Tickets for the Official Public Ferry to Daufuskie Island can be booked and purchased at locoferry.com.

Daufuskie Island Residents will be afforded the traditional discounted fares afforded to residents and property owners on Daufuskie Island by presenting their existing Palmetto Breeze Resident Pass.  

Lowcountry Ferry aims to provide a simple and user-friendly ticketing system, enhancing the overall experience for those exploring the charm of Daufuskie Island.”

Lowcountry Ferry’s website says that Daufuskie Island Ferry fares begin at $30.
